This past week, we had the opportunity to visit the coolest little spot only 3.4 km from downtown Nelson, BC.
Bunkieland is a tiny home rental village with 2 rentals, a community kitchen, washroom, and fire pit ready to be enjoyed with marshmallows and guitar.
Bunkieland is tucked away from the city but close enough to enjoy the views and visit for shopping, dinner, and entertainment.
Surrounded by trees and on top of the mountain, you feel like you're far away from the city but it's only minutes which is so nice
for anyone looking for a vacation from out of town or any local looking for a mini staycation.
Each bunkie has a double futon, retro fridge, table and chairs, and a ladder that takes you up to a loft bedroom with a very comfortable queen bed to catch some zzz's and recharge.
Then when you're ready for a meal, you can walk over to the kitchen to prepare a meal or make a coffee.
The kitchen is stocked with every appliance and utensil you could need while at Bunkieland including a bbq. Around the corner from the kitchen is a lovely seating area to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon snack. You can tell each little area was thoughtfully created for guests to enjoy. We love that.
The washroom or shall we say "PiPi" room is equipped with a toilet, sink, shower, and lots of outlets for hair dryers and shavers.
Bring a blanket and curl up by the fire. The wood shed is stocked with supplies so you can relax and enjoy the night sky.
We had a wonderful experience visiting Bunkie Land and love the concept. Cozy, cute, and rustic with working toilets. Who wouldn't want to stay here?
